Kobe Bryant scored 17 points for Team USA, and averaged 12.1 points per game during the tournament, his final Olympics. Kevin Durant scored 30 points to lead all scorers.

Chris Paul had five points early in the fourth quarter to give the United States a cushion, but Spain was able to keep the game relatively close in the final period. LeBron James helped put the game away late with a dunk with 2:47 remaining, and three-pointer with 1:59 left for a nine-point lead. James finished with 19 points.
