London Olympics 2012: Team USA Earns Silver In Men's 4x100m Relay Final

Team USA earned a silver medal in the men's 4x100m relay event, coming in just .2 seconds behind first place finishers Jamaica. Jamaica finished with a time of 36.84 seconds, a new world record in the event. Just behind them was the United States, setting a new national record with a time of 37.04 seconds. Trinidad and Tobago round out the podium with the bronze medal, finishing with a time of 38.12 seconds.

The United States has now earned 29 medals in track & field events (nine gold, 13 silver, and seven bronze), contributing a good chunk of the 100 total medals America has currently earned. For an updated medal count, be sure to check out SI.com's medal tracker.
