It has been some time since Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods were tied for the lead in a major PGA Tour event. After the second round of the 2012 PGA Championship in South Carolina, that's exactly where they stand. Following play on Friday, Singh and Woods are tied with Carl Pettersson for the lead, at 4-under.
Pettersson entered the day at 6-under, with a one-stroke lead on Rory McIlroy, among others. Pettersson shot a 2-over on the day to loosen his hold on the top spot. Woods and Singh took advantage, with Woods shooting 1-under on Friday and Singh having one of the best round of the day at 3-under.
McIlroy struggled in his second round and finished at 3-over for the day, dropping him into a tie for fifth place at 2-under.
