2012 Olympics, USA Vs. Argentina: Kobe Bryant Scores 13 In 109-83 Win, USA Advances To Gold Medal Game

Bryant is averaging 11.4 points per game in Olympic play.

LeBron James had 18 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists on Friday, leading Team USA to a 109-83 win over Argentina in the semifinals of the 2012 London Olympics at North Greenwich Arena. Team USA will advance to play Spain in the gold medal game on Sunday, in a rematch of the 2008 Olympic final.

Kobe Bryant scored 13 points in 19 minutes in the win, along with four rebounds and two steals. Bryant, who shot 5-for-10 from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, has averaged 11.4 points per game in seven Olympic contests so far.

Chris Paul added 10 points, seven assists, and four rebounds in the win.

Manu GInobili scored 18 points to lead Argentina, who was able to stay close in the first half. Team USA led 47-40 at halftime, but a 27-17 run in the third quarter helped the Americans pull away.

USA will battle Spain on Sunday morning for the gold medal, in a game televised at 7 a.m. PDT.
