Marianne Vos of the Netherlands took home the gold medal in the women's road race that concluded on Sunday. Great Britain's Elizabeth Aristead won the silver medal and Russia's Olga Zabelinskaya won the bronze medal.
Irvine-native Amber Neben finished 36th overall with a time of 3:36.20, Vos finished in first at 3:35.29. Neben finished fourth among Team USA riders. Team USA's Shelley Olds led her team, finishing seventh overall with a time of 3:35.56.
