Wimbledon 2012 Scores And Results: Rafael Nadal Eliminated By Lukas Rosal In Round 2 Upset

The big result from Thursday at the 2012 Wimbledon Tennis Championships was No. 100 ranked Lukas Rosal beating No. 2 seed Rafael Nadal, three sets to two. Nadal was coming off a victory at the 2012 French Open and had not lost before the third round in a major since 2005. Other action in the Gentlemen's draw included No. 4 seed Andy Murray defeating Ivo Karlovic to advance to the third round, where he will face Marcos Baghdatis. Andy Roddick was also victorious in Round 2, defeating Bjorn Phau in straight sets. Roddick, the No 30 seed, will face No. 7 seed David Ferrer in the third round.

In the Ladies' draw No. 1 seed Maria Sharapova beat Tsvetana Pironkova to advance to the third round, where she faces Su-Wei Hsieh. No. 6 seeded Serena Williams beat Melina Czink in Round 2 and will next face No. 25 seed Jie Zheng.
