The 2012 Indianapolis 500 will finally arrive on Sunday, fitting in nicely between the second and third legs of the Triple Crown as all of America's most famous races are all grouped up for fans of high speeds.

Southern California drivers Charlie Kimball and Townsend Bell will both be competing in the Indy 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and both drivers will be attempting to take home the most coveted checkered flag in IndyCar racing for the first time.

The 2012 Indy 500 is set to begin shortly after 9:00 a.m. PT on ABC. Cars will roll off the grid for pace laps at 9:04 a.m., followed by the green flag at 9:12 a.m.

SB Nation Los Angeles will be bringing you the results from the race, as well as live updates, so stay tuned. If you're looking for Twitter updates, make sure to follow our own @jeff_gluck, who is live at the Brickyard for the race.
