French Open 2012: Venus And Serena Williams Represent Los Angeles In The 2012 Roland Garros Tournament

The 2012 French Open begins Sunday, and Southern California is well represented by Venus and Serena Williams, as well as Vania King.

Sunday brings us the opening round of the 2012 French Open (Roland Garros), and Southern California is well represented. The Williams sisters, Venus and Serena, were born in Los Angeles, and Vania King was born in Monterey Park and resides in Long Beach.

The full draw has been released, and the first round will see Venus Williams face Paula Ormaechea, with her sister Serena facing Virginie Razzano. King will face Galina Voskoboeva.

Another notable draw is Mara Sharapova versus Alexandra Cadantu, and on the men's side the first round features Novak Djokobic facing Potito Starace, Lleyton Hewitt versus Blaz Kavcic, Andy Roddick against Nicolas Mahut, and Roger Federer meeting Tobias Kamke.
