The Masters 2012 Leaderboard Update: Peter Hanson Takes Lead

The shake up in the standings continued at The Masters, as Peter Hanson took the lead, finishing round three at 9-under. Hanson started the day with a bogey, but quickly corrected things and ended up picking up eight birdies through all eighteen holes.

Right behind him are Phil Mickelson and Louis Oosthuizen, in second and third with 8-under and 7-under, respectively. Mickelson's eagle on hole thirteen was his highlight of the day, though he collected four more birdies at holes ten, twelve, fifteen and eighteen. Oosthuizen added a birdie on the twelfth hole to his trio from holes six, seven and eight, and remains the only of the top three with holes left to play.

Los Angeles area locals did not fare so well on day three, with Tiger shooting par on the day, leaving him tied for 38th place with his total at 3-over. Fred Couples went into the day with the lead, but he stands tied for fourth at 4-under with four holes left to play, shooting 1-over so far on the day. Hunter Mahan is at 4-under for both day three and in total, making him tied with Couples. Things could quickly shift as more golfers finish, so stick with this story stream for the latest scores.
