The UFC 145 event on Saturday will feature a main event of Jon "Bones" Jones against Rashad Evans for the Light Heavyweight Championship. Los Angeles fighter Mac Danzig picked up a win on the preliminary card.
UFC 145 is underway on Saturday night. The event, coming live out of the Philips Arena in Atlanta, will be headlined with a main event where Jon Jones will defend his Light Heavyweight title against former champion Rashad Evans.
The undercard got underway on Saturday evening, with two fights being aired live on Facebook, followed by the free prelims televised nationally on FX.
The fighters seemed extremely evenly-matched and neither man was able to gain much of an advantage on the other throughout the duration of the fight. Danzig, however, appeared to be in control of many of the portions of the fight where the fighters were in the clinch against the cage.
The fight went the distance and the judges agreed on what they saw, as Danzig picked up the unanimous decision on scores of 30-27, 30-27, 29-28.
