Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships continue on Thursday night at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Pepperdine Waves won their last two games of the season to avoid playing in the No. 8 vs. No. 9 game on Wednesday night, and look for a third consecutive victory on Thursday against the San Diego Toreros in the second game of the night. Here are the details:

Records & Seeding: No. 7 Pepperdine (10-18, 4-12 in WCC); No. 6 San Diego (12-17, 7-9)

Location: Orleans Arena in Las Vegas

Time: 8 p.m. PST is the scheduled start time, but that seems ambitious. This game will start 30 minutes after the first game of the night ends.

TV: BYUtv, with Dave McCann on play-by-play and Steve Cleveland as the analyst.

Streaming: Live on ESPN3

Series History: Pepperdine leads the all-time series history with San Diego 56-36, and the two schools have met six times in the last eight years in the WCC Tournament. The Waves won last year against the Toreros in the tourney, but lost both games against USD this season. San Diego holds a 5-4 advantage over Pepperdine in WCC Tournament play.

Up Next: The winner of this game will face the No. 3 seed BYU Cougars Friday night in the tournament quarterfinals on ESPNU at 8 p.m. PST.

Good Start: Pepperdine has won their first WCC Tournament game in three of the last four seasons.
