The UCLA Bruins won three of their four games last week including a weekend series win over the No. 25 Baylor Bears, and have climbed five spots in the latest college baseball rankings. Baseball America has the Bruins at No. 17 in this week's poll, one of five Pac-12 Conference teams in the top 25.

UCLA (4-3) beat Cal State Northridge 19-7 last week, then lost the opener to Baylor 15-3 on Friday at Jackie Robinson Stadium. But the Bruins came back to beat the Bears 9-3 and 8-6, including coming back from a 6-4 deficit in the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon.

Pat Valaika had five hits in 12 at-bats over the weekend with five RBI, including a key three-run triple in Saturday's win. Jeff Gelalich added five hits in 10 at-bats, including a home run.

The Bruins continue their home heavy early schedule on Tuesday night, hosting the Long Beach State Dirtbags at Jackie Robinson Stadium, followed by a weekend home series against Sacramento State. Eleven of the first 12 games of the season for UCLA are at home.

The Stanford Cardinal remain at No. 2 in the country, joined by fellow Pac-12 squads No. 7 Arizona, No. 11 Arizona State, and No. 18 Oregon. The Cal State Fullerton Titans (4-3) are No. 20.
