USC vs. Georgia Tech: Sun Bowl 2012 odds and lines

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

After a disappointing season, the USC Trojans have a shot at ending their season on a high note against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Despite the fact that the USC Trojans will be without star quarterback Matt Barkley, they are considered a favorite to win the 2013 Sun Bowl against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Monday. The Trojans, who have been without Barkley due to a shoulder injury, will take the field looking for their eighth victory of the season to make finish with an 8-5 record. The Yellow Jackets will be looking to even their record up at 7-7.

According to Odds Shark, the Trojans are heading into the Sun Bowl as anywhere between a 7.5 to a 9.5 point favorite over the Yellow Jackets. USC averages 34.2 points per game and gives up an average of 24.6 while Georgia Tech scores an average of 34.5 and gives up 29.9.

The Trojans are coming off two straight losses, one to No. 17 UCLA and the other to No. 1 Notre Dame, and they have lost four of their last five. The Yellow Jackets are also coming off two straight losses, one to No. 3 Georgia and the other to No. 13 Florida State, but they've won three of their last five.
