USC joins 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis field

The USC Trojans will participate in the 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis.

The USC Trojans are on the invite list for the 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis. The tournament will be played next year over Thanksgiving weekend on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Eight teams will compete in the 2013 tournament. USC will be joined by Kansas, Villanova, Wake Forest, Tennessee, UTEP and Xavier. The eighth team has not yet been determined. No. 5 Duke won the 2012 edition of the tournament, claiming a 76-71 victory over No. 2 Louisville on Saturday.

USC is 3-2 this season and coming off a sixth-place finish at the Maui Invitational. The Trojans sandwiched losses to Illinois and Marquette around a win over Texas. USC opened the season with home wins over Coppin State and Long Beach State.

Next up for the Trojans is a home date Sunday night against the No. 25 San Diego State Aztecs. Tip off from the Galen Center is set for 7 p.m. PT, and the game will be televised on FSN.
