Two-day event at Santa Anita Park gets underway Friday.
The 2012 Breeders' Cup gets underway Friday at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. First post for various races throughout the two-day event is set for 11:15 a.m. PT and the first race for the Breeders' Cup, the BC Juvenile Sprint, is set to begin at 1:06 p.m. PT.
NBC Sports Network and NBC will provide television coverage of the event. NBC Sports Network will showcase the event Friday from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30-5 p.m. Coverage will shift over to NBC on Saturday from 5-6 p.m. The event will be live-streamed at BreedersCup.com starting at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Matt Gardner, the proprietor of And Down The Stretch They Come, will be providing coverage of the event for SB Nation.
