UCLA is looking for for a 5-1 start when it travels to Berkeley to face Cal on Saturday.
After getting back on the winning track last week against Colorado, the No. 25 UCLA Bruins will attempt to move to 2-1 in Pac-12 play when they travel to face the California Golden Bears on Saturday.
UCLA moved back into the Associated Press Top 25 with its 42-14 win against Colorado. The Bruins are 2-0 on the road this season with wins over the Buffaloes and Rice. After struggling in the loss to Oregon State two weeks ago, UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin got back on track last week. Franklin rushed for 111 yards against Colorado and has now rushed for at least 110 yards in four of the five games this season.
Freshman quarterback Brett Hundley is coming off another strong game and has now thrown 11 touchdowns to just three interceptions this season. Hundley is completing 66.1 percent of his passes and is also a running threat having racked up 165 rushing yards.
Despite their 4-1 record and California's early season struggles, the Bruins opened as just 1-point favorites over the Bears. Saturday's game is scheduled to kickoff at 10 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
Game time/date: Oct. 6, 10 p.m. ET
Location: Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, Calif.
TV Schedule/Streaming: Pac-12 Network
Odds: UCLA is a 1-point favorite
