The game began as a laughably underwhelming affair, with the teams appearing to operate at half-speed and their visible lack of effort at one point drawing loud boos from the live crowd in the first quarter.
As the score pretty much reflects, the defense was more or less nonexistent in the game. All three quarterbacks from each team all recorded at least one touchdown and one receiver from each team caught at least three. Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall caught caught a touchdown in each quarter for the AFC and Larry Fitzgerald had three for the NFC.
UCLA Bruins alum Maurice Jones-Drew led all rushers in the game, picking up 56 yards on six carries, with a long of 39. Vonta Leach on the AFC team had the only rushing touchdown of the game.
It’s that time again boys and girls that time when the absolute best and brightest starts in the NFL take center stage against one another in the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl.
The NFC Pro-Bowlers are currently a 4 point favorite, with the over under set for an outrageously high 73.5 for the game according to Oddsshark.com. With all this talent there will likely be quite the offesnive show as most defenders dont play too hard in these games.
Although it is merely an exhibition game, nobody in the NFL likes to lose, so when it comes to taking the cake, former USC Trojan Clay Matthews knows just what is at stake in Honolulu this Sunday:
"When that fourth quarter rolls around and there’s a little bit of money on the line, I think you’ll see the tempo step up. We’ll all be ready for it," Packers linebacker Clay Matthews said.
It’s going to be a battle under the Hawaiian sun this Sunday.
