The Dodgers look to snap a three-game losing streak Tuesday night against the Mets, and hope a rested Ted Lilly can be more effective than he has been recently. Lilly had his start pushed back a day with elbow tenderness, so he is pitching tonight on six days rest. Mike Pelfrey starts for New York.

Lilly has allowed 18 runs in 14 2/3 innings over his last three starts, all Dodger losses. On the season, he is 5-8 with a 4.97 ERA. Lilly was pushed back a day because elbow tenderness prevented him from throwing a bullpen session in between starts for most of the last month. With the off day last Thursday coupled with the rotation shuffle, Lilly had time to get in a bullpen session on Saturday, and reported no soreness on Sunday.

The Dodgers have lost three straight games, including 5-2 on Monday night to the Mets. The Dodgers are now a season-worst 12 games under .500, a depth to which they haven't sunk since the end of the 2005 season. The Dodgers have lost 13 of their last 19 games.

Pelfrey is 4-7 with a 4.92 ERA in 17 starts this season, and he has struggled mightily on the road this season. In 10 road starts, Pelfrey is 1-7 with a 6.75 ERA, and has allowed 11 home runs in 52 innings. Pelfrey is 0-1 with a 4.80 ERA in three starts against the Dodgers.
