The Dodgers look for their third straight win Monday night as they open a three-game series with the Rockies at Dodger Stadium. Rubby De La Rosa gets the start for the Dodgers, facing Juan Nicasio for Colorado. The Dodgers are 4-5 against Colorado this season.
De La Rosa is 3-4 with a 3.73 ERA in his rookie season. He is looking for his first win since June 12, which came against the Rockies at Coors Field, though he has pitched well of late. De La Rosa has allowed seven runs (six earned) in his last four starts, with a 2.16 ERA, seven walks and 22 strikeouts in 25 innings during that span. The Dodgers have scored nine runs in his last six starts.
Fellow rookie Nicasio is 4-2 on the season with a 3.88 ERA. He has pitched seven innings in each of his last two starts, allowing one total run in those two starts. Nicasio gave up four runs in five innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on June 9.
The Dodgers have won six of their last seven home games. The Rockies are 3-10 in their last 13 road games.
