Dodgers Turn To Kershaw In Series Finale With Marlins

The Dodgers turn to their ace, Clayton Kershaw, on Sunday afternoon, trying to capture a rare series win, against the Marlins at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers, who are 1-8-1 in their last 10 series, will try to capture their first home series win in over a month today, facing Ricky Nolasco for Florida. The Dodgers last home series win was April 18-21, when they captured three of four from Atlanta.

Kershaw is 5-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 11 starts this season. He allowed one run in six innings in his last start, Monday in Houston, but Kenley Jansen blew the save by allowing three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Kershaw's 77 strikeouts rank fifth in the National League, nine behind the dynamic duo of Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee in Philadelphia.

Nolasco is 4-0 with a 3.04 ERA in 10 starts this season. The former Rialto High School prep pitcher beat the Giants in his last start on Tuesday, allowing one run in 8 1/3 innings. Florida is 16-8 on the road this season, the best away mark in baseball.

Today's 1:10 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket. For more news and information on the Dodgers, or on today's game, be sure to read the SB Nation blog True Blue LA.
