Griffin, Clippers Host A Wizards Team That Can't Win On The Road

The Los Angeles Clippers look to close out their homestand with a win tonight against the hapless Washington Wizards at Staples Center. The Clippers are 19-17 at home this season, but they have won 12 of their last 16 wearing the home whites. They face a Wizards team that simply can't win away from home.

Washington is just 1-32 on the road this season, with their only win coming in Cleveland against the Cavaliers, who have the worst record in the NBA. The Wizards aren't much better, at 17-52, and dating back to last season they have lost 44 of their last 47 on the road. The Clippers crushed the Wizards in Washington 122-101 on March 12.

DeAndre Jordan is still out with pneumonia for the Clippers, who will start Chris Kaman in the pivot. Blake Griffin had 26 points and five rebounds in Washington earlier this month, but he has gone seven straight games without double-digit rebounds. Griffin, who has 54 double-doubles on the season, one shy of the Clippers' franchise record, is averaging 6.9 rebounds in the last seven games and is shooting just 41.8% from the field during that span.

Eric Gordon has scored 39 total points in the two games since his return from his right wrist injury. The Clippers have beaten Washington four straight times. Tonight's 7:30 p.m. PDT game will be televised on Prime Ticket.
