Big West Basketball Tournament 2011: Day Two Schedule On ESPNU

The 36th annual Big West Basketball Tournament begans yesterday, as eight teams did battle at Honda Center in Anaheim, whittling the combatants down to four for tonight's semifinals. There was one big upset, as UC Riverside, an under-.500 team, knocked off the No. 2 seed Cal Poly Mustangs in overtime. The Highlanders will try their hand at another upset tonight, facing the top seed Long Beach State 49ers. Here is an overview of today's schedule, with both games on ESPNU (all times PST):

6 p.m. -- No. 1 Long Beach State 49ers (21-10, 14-2) vs. No. 7 UC Riverside Highlanders (12-18, 6-10): Long Beach St. has won 10 straight games, and beat UC Riverside in both matchups this season.

8:30 p.m. -- No. 3 Cal State Northridge (14-17, 9-7) vs. No. 5 UC Santa Barbara (16-13, 8-8): The higher-seeded Matadors won both regular season battles against the Gauchos.
