2011 Big West Tournament: Cal State Northridge Tops Cal State Fullerton 75-54, Will Face UCSB In Semis

In the final quarterfinal matchup of the 2011 Big West Tournament, the No. 3 seed Cal State Northridge Matadors defeated the No. 6 Cal State Fullerton Titans 75-54 at Honda Center, advancing to the semifinals on Friday. It was the third win for Northridge over Fullerton this season. Cal State Northridge will face No. 5 seed UC Santa Barbara tomorrow.

Forward Lenny Daniel paced the Matadors with 19 points and nine rebounds. Vinnie McGhee hit three three-pointers for Cal State Northridge, adding 16 points in the win. Northridge beat Fullerton 89-65 at home on January 15, then beat the Titans 70-68 at Fullerton on February 10. The Matadors held the Titans to 33.9% field goal shooting, while making 50% of their own shots. Orange Chin led the Titans with 15 points.
