2012 Rose Bowl: LaMichael James Likely Playing His Final Game For Oregon Ducks

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 Rose Bowl is a great football game, but in the BCS era its significance feels slightly diminished. The game still is of primary importance to fans of either team, but the outcome doesn't seem to matter quite as much as it once did.

Still, Oregon Ducks fans might really be into this one, because it could be the last game LaMichael James ever plays in an Oregon uniform. Aaron Fentress of the Oregonian has the report.

James is perhaps the greatest Oregon football player ever, and definitely the most successful, having been part of Oregon's three straight conference championships in both the Pac-10 and Pac-12. James will leave Oregon as their all-time leading rusher--as a junior! The Ducks will probably be playing at full throttle in this one and try to ensure their best playmaker on the field goes out on the most positive note.
