The Anaheim Ducks have signed 25-year old center Trevor Smith today to a one-year deal, per a team press release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Smith was signed by the New York Islanders in 2007, and appeared in seven NHL games during the 2008-2009 season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound center, a native of North Vancouver British Columbia, has played four seasons for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League. He scored 21 goals and had 26 assists for the Sound Tigers last season.
